As a result we discussed the snags and made a plan going forward. I emailed this shop for a quote for my car. Sam was fantastic. She sent me the quote quickly and even arranged for a ride home. Unfortunately they were completely booked and I need the issue resolved quickly as my timing chain need to be replaced asap. And I had the repair done elsewhere (at a higher cost). But Sam's costmer service and professionalism will certainly make me consider booking my car in for future services at this shop.

I have been going to German Car Specialist for about 2 years now. I wish I would have known about them long before. The staff is very professional and personable. When I go for servicing, they are not trying to add more onto my bill or suggest fixing things that don't need fixing, I think they are fantastic especially in this area. My car also comes back to me so nice and clean, what a treat! The prices are far more reasonable than the dealership and my budget greatly appreciates that! I have had 2 interactions with the people at German Car Specialist and I have to say that I was very impressed both times. My first interaction was the regular maintenance for my Mercedes. I felt very comfortable speaking to Marena at the front counter. She explained what the service entailed and how much it was going to cost me. The second time, was on an emergency basis. This time, Beth was the one who helped me and informed me that they will do the diagnosis as soon as they had some time. When they were able to do the diagnosis, Beth maintained communication with me throughout the process. On both times, when I picked up my car, they described all the work that were done. I felt that they were fair with the charges and didn’t suggest doing anything that were not necessary. This was the best experience I have had taking my car in for service, and will be taking my car here from now on. I would highly recommend the German Car Specialist to anyone. Right from the start I felt comfortable when speaking with Beth at the front counter. As a car guy for the last 30 plus years, she nicely informed me, that my car did not have a timing belt but a timing chain. Man this lady knows her stuff! 🙂 Immediate identification of the issue at hand was the next step in satisfaction. Everything went smoothly from being greeted with a smile to the efficient transfer to the Technicians in the shop, where they quickly assessed and identified the reason for the service light illumination which could have been like looking for a needle in a haystack A phone call with a in depth analysis and a very reasonable price to repair the issue at hand was obtained only hours later and now with all the other requested service work completed, I too am driving away with a smile! Great experience taking my VW here for the first time. Everyone at GCS is super pro, very knowledgeable and thorough. They took the time to listen to and note all of my concerns with my car and when I picked it up, they described all the work done. The service records fully detail all the work that was done too. The shuttle service was much appreciated on a cold day. This was by far the best experience I've had taking my car in for service, and I'm happy to support an independent local shop. They made a rapid diagnosis and maintained strong communication with me throughout the process. I have used on of their competitors for my Mercedes in the past and have been frustrated by their lack of communication and inability to keep a timeline. I cannot recommend this place more to service your European cars. I am an owner of a 2016 Panamera 4S and have been servicing my vehicle with them since the car has been out of factory warranty. Service tech Ben and Alex are both very professional and detailed oriented. They focuses on explaining the issue, and really gives you the power to decide what you wish to do. I never felt pressured or forced to do any additional work that I didn't know about prior to bringing my vehicle in. This is a big PLUS! I just bought my Mercedes in a private sale and the previous owner said he got all his maintenance done here. I stopped in today to confirm this and see what the service records were like. The staff at the front were extremely courteous and able to answer every one of my questions. They were friendly and willing to go the extra mile to earn my business. Professional car shop. Quick and easy dropping my car off for the service, same goes for the pick up. Definitely more on the expensive side, but you are paying for the attention to detail on your luxury vehicle. If you don't want to pay up a bit, you have no business looking for a German car niche specific shop.

Amazing and outstanding honest quality service. I should have started my automotive repairs at German Car Specialist from the start. I had a check engine light for over a year and had my original mechanic did his best to troubleshoot but only to find out he only replaced parts and did not do a proper diagnostic testing only found at German Car Specialist. Ben and his team identified the root cause... (Air filter plugged) which my original mechanic oversighted and performed the repairs and cleared the check engine light. What a relief. On a drive from Vancouver to Ottawa in early June my smart car broke down. I called my mechanic in Vancouver and two places in Calgary. Only German Car Specialists could get the parts in any reasonable time, (3 days to order and replace the part vs two weeks from the competitor) the total cost was slightly less than the quote and as an added bonus, by the time the tow truck dropped me and my car off at the garage the office staff found a hotel that could isolate an out of province person like myself taking a load off my mind. I was taking my car at the Audi dealership and didn't find it personable enough since I was always dealing with different people. So a friend of mine recommended me to German Car Specialist and so happy that I tried them. My first visit was looking to buy some summer tires for my new car and Ben was the first one that assisted me. He was so professional and very knowledgeable regarding the different types of tires. I purchased some and also got them installed and boy was I happy with the product. I ended up going back to get my tires changed over from summer to winter along with oil change and inspection. Have been taking my 2011 Mercedes E350 to German Car Specialists for about a year and have been very happy with their service. They are busy so book ahead but i would be more concerned if they were slow. Corresponded with Dennis, the owner regarding a recent purchase of a 1997 Mercedes SL600 and he was very helpful. My wife picks up a new Porsche Macan next week and I will be coming here for service and non warranty repairs.

German Car Specialist is very nice and there are no complaints. They did oil and filter changes for a Mercedes Benz E320 automatic. Everything worked out very well. It was really easy to make an appointment with them, and we would use them again.

Everything worked out good with German Car Specialist's installation of a custom exhaust on a Volkswagen Jetta. It was the first time I went to them and they told me what the work was going to cost and stuck to that price. Their staff was friendly and professional, and they delivered my car on time.

I heard about German Car Specialist through word of mouth. I needed an oil change and service inspection. I've only used them once; and the results were good. Customer service was satisfactory and the prices were fair.

I was recommended to you by an AMA tow operator some 2 years ago. Your price for services were less than the dealer's but, notwithstanding they were more convenient, I decided to try you out. Service staff have been very friendly and transparent in the work done and what needed to be done. I always felt that recommendations made were in my interest and not just to increase your revenue.

They don't come up with extra costs or problems, or try to find any hidden expenses. They had a nice waiting area with a TV, and they offered me coffee while they worked on my car. We've been going to German Car Specialist for the past three months and it's been a really great experience. It's more like going to a friend who is a mechanic. He knows what he is doing, and works with you to figure out the best method (optional prices and whether or not he'll be able to do the job) to figure out what method will be best for you. I really like him! The prices are super reasonable and I couldn't speak more highly of him. If you're in the area and you need a mechanic, I'd definitely look him up!

I have been coming to Two Square since I moved to Calgary in 2009 with my 2003 BMW. Beth was my advisor and she still remembers me each time I call. I trust her judgement and advice regarding repairs on my car - she is one of the main reasons I stay with Two Square. I recently brought my car in for check engine light and crazy wheel shuddering that resulted in over 8 key items identified needing attention. Beth helped me decide which were essential and never pressured me to get work done. When I picked my car up, it looked great - I realized they had not only done the usual wash but buffed out a huge scratched area, fixed up my front plate with a proper covering and generally doing way more than the usual clean on my car. Will definitely continue to use them, makes deciding to keep an old beemer easy when I have a place I trust to help me maintain it!

Brought my 04 Cayenne Turbo for its 120,000 KM service and to check a brake booster issue coming up periodically on my dash. Turns out I had a calcium problem and they tried to fix it. When the issue didn't resolve they fit me in very quickly the next week to fix it again. They explained everything in detail on the invoice and we're very friendly and courteous. I own a 2004 BMW X5 that I have always enjoyed driving and was not anxious to give up yet. I lost confidence with the service I was receiving from another outfit (the vehicle wasn't sounding right when it was running and on two occassions they said they couldn't identify the problem). It seemed it might be time to move into something new and I found a 2005 BMW X5 with under 70,000 km with a clean bill of health from an out of province inspection. I brought them both to German Car Specialist. They quickly corrected the sound, they fixed the few other problems I identified and carefully explained what lays ahead with the 2005 vehicle. My 2004 X5 now sounds good as new and perfectly fine to keep driving. Service was prompt and I got a thorough explanation of everything done and discovered. After starting the day with a shuttle into the downtown, my car was washed and the tires were cleaned when it was time for a pick up. Nice to feel as though someone else cared for my vehicle.

My first experience with German Car Specialist was superb. I came in for a simple oil change on my BMW SAV, and left extremely impressed with the knowledge, service, and support of the staff there. Right from the moment I handed over my keys, and was informed by Dennis to shed some of them because the extra weight on the key chain would stress my ignition, I knew I was in a place where the people knew what they were doing, and beyond that, actually cared about my vehicle and it's longevity. The inspection was thorough, and the female service rep ringing me through took the time to explain in detail the findings, even showing patience as I asked her subsequent questions. Having the complimentary car wash was just the icing on the cake: especially as they brought it out gleaming AND dry, not sopping wet, in a hurry to get me out and onto the next job. I had asked if I could get my tires rotated the staff suggested they just look and measure the wear on the tires and if it was wearing evenly there was no need to rotate as spring is coming and the summer tires will be going on! I have nothing but good things to say about German Car Specialist. They do quality work and take the time to do it properly. I've been there more than a few times and they always seem to get the job done within a respectable amount of time. This place will go the extra mile for you. Whether is preventative maintenance or problems found during a free inspection, they don't b.s you, don't try to up sell you, and they seem to genuinely care for your cars well-being. They go the extra step also, they wash your car for free, and not just spray it down but take the time to detail the car and wheels, which is definitely noticeable. Took my car in for an oil change and they vacuumed the interior. Had a clip hanging down on my front bumper and they installed it correctly without even mentioning they did it. It's little things like this that make this place stand out. Would HIGHLY recommend going there and won't even consider the stealership.

Accidentally left my key in the ignition of 2007 911. Left the battery drained and I was unable to remove the key nor open the hood using the battery connection in the fuse compartment. This was my first experience with German Car Specialist and I am very happy with them! I have a "smart" car, and somehow it got stuck in "Park." The Mercedes dealership said they could fix it for $1,200. So, I went to German Car Specialist for a second opinion. They looked at the car and examined it, and they said that they thought they could make a modification that would work. They were not positive, but they were willing to try, and so was I. Well, the modification worked, and has worked ever since! For about one half of what the dealership wanted. So like I said before, I am very happy!

I have been a customer of German Car Specialist for over seven years. When you go to them, they make you feel like a real person, not just another customer. Their personal contact is wonderful. They do professional work, but what is really impressive takes place before the work is done. When you take an issue to them, they will confirm or adjust what you think. If they think the problem is affected by something else, they will tell you. Then, they tell you what your options are. For example, you can fix this issue now, and the other issue you maybe have about 60 days or so before it needs to be addressed. That way you get a heads-up on what is going on, and you can schedule and plan accordingly. I really appreciate that kind of input!

Ive had my vehicle in before with you guys, normally an ok job, Ive never really had to complain about anything. This time much different. The young lady that assisted me I know was just trying to do her job, she was attentive to my needs but had a tough time explaining costs, to the point where the owner contacted me. I had questions about the diagnosis of the the AD Blue for my vehicle at $170 and had asked what i would be receiving for this. This was a problem for the vehicle so without a real explanation i just moved forward. I was then told that the computer for Mercedes Benz that you had was not operating properly so I would have to leave the vehicle for the night. Total bill for this check on the ad blue plus an oil change was $500. On my dime, i rented a vehicle, total cost $120 The next day, i called in and was told the vehicle was ready but that the check engine light was still on and that the Ad blue countdown was gone, but you weren't sure if it would come back on because you hadn't test driven the vehicle enough. At that point i become even MORE skeptical of the work being done. Wasn't that what the $170.00 was for? Check the Ad blue, correct any issues? I picked up the vehicle that day. Later on that evening, the check engine light was on and the ad blue countdown began again. I contacted you and was essentially told "I told you so" and that there would be additional charges to check the Ad Blue system again. At that point I said no thank you to more charges. What exactly did I pay $500 for? Plus the car rental costs? $620 for an oil change?? I spoke to Country hills Mercedes this morning, and they told me what the exact issue is/was. At a cost of zero dollars, my Ad Blue systems is no re-set. I own my own business. I know its not easy to keep all customers happy. The young lady was nice, I wont't dispute that. But I have a hard time understanding what I just paid for, Essentially i was charged $500 for an oil change.

Unfortunately I have had to come and enjoy the experience here at German, car specialist. I own at 2008 Audi a3 sportback and recently my alternator was smoking so I immediately brought it here and they were quick to diagnose and order the necessary parts to get me back on the road less than a week. So I do reccomend this shop for my Audi and i find that their work is amazing for i have had no other issues pertaining to the job they have done on my vehicle. I recently took my 2010 Volvo V70 to my local garage to have the power steering fluid replaced as the pump was whining. Fluid replacement did not help and they advised that I needed my pump replaced - cost would be about $1000-. Checked with 3 other garages and they all said the same thing. I then checked with Beth at German Car Specialist. She noted that Volvo had a service bulletin for clogged filters in this vehicle's PS fluid reservoir and that they would try replacing the reservoir first for a cost of about $325-. Car is now working perfectly and German Car Specialist has a new customer. I couldn't be more pleased with their great, friendly service and knowledge of my vehicle.

After this cold snap, my older diesel Mercedes was having problems. I realized that I had two glow plugs that were shot. After replacing them it was too late after the strain I had put on the starter the numerous times trying to start it. I have used GCS before and gave a call. Monday afternoon, she ordered a new starter had my car towed and the next day it was done. What I also really appreciated was the above and beyond work by the mechanic afterwards helped me break the steering column nut that I couldn't do previously. As well as the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and owner. Thank You

I am a repeat customer of German Car Specialist, having used them at least three or four times in the past. They are very knowledgeable about what needs to be done, and I particularly like the fact that they take the time to carefully explain exactly what work needs to be done. Plus, they are not pushy, and don't try to sell you parts and services that you don't really need. If the service is going to take more than a few hours, they have a shuttle service available to take you back and forth from either work or home. That is a really nice touch. Most of the time, they have the necessary parts in stock, but if they don't, they simply order the parts in, and then reschedule the work. All in all, they are very professional and competent people.

I have come a few times with my MB ML 350 Blutec, and repairs have been done in a quality way. German Car Specialist have directly interfaced with my Lubrico Extended Warranty, putting in the claims for me, and then charging me the difference for what was not covered. A minor item, is that they charge a labour fee to add in the Ad Blue diesel additive for the exhaust. Given that putting the additive in is a simple as fuelling your vehicle, and takes only a couple of minutes, I'd recommend that they drop charging this fee. My prior garage did this as a courtesy, only charging for the additive.

I spotted a fluid leak under my wife's BMW while it was parked in the garage. Had it towed to German Car Specialist where a leaking rad hose was identified as the root cause. I received an estimate to replace the damaged hose as well as an estimate to replace the balance of the hoses which were showing similar signs of impending failure. I decided to have them repair everything. They don't make recommendations that aren't in the customers best interest. Great job and we are back on the road.

First time visit with my used BMW. Have never been a Bimmer owner before and have heard horror stories about the high cost of dealership service so was looking for a non-dealer option for oil change and a couple of basic services. Everybody I encountered was friendly and professional, and the spotless wash/vacuum to send the car home was a real nice touch. 5-star service, delivered on time. Only thing preventing me from 5-starring the total experience was I thought the cost came in much higher than expected and likely not much different from dealership maintenance costs. But will do some research and if I'm proven wrong will be happy to upgrade the other ratings.

This is my first time getting work done on my car (oil change), the other time was for detailing. A couple I know recommended I take my Audi here for work. They mentioned they knew a couple of others who brought there vehicle here and were happy. No complaints, they do good work. They also changed the coolant on my car as well swapped out my tires to summer. They explained the work they did and very friendly staff. If you are looking for the lowest price, this probably isn't the place for you. If you are looking for quality work, then I believe this is the place to go to. I will be going back for my next oil change or if I need them to look at my Audi A3 again.

I have been into the German car specialist with two vehicles over the years. My latest experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. My engine light was on and they ran the vehicle through a series of scans and tests. When I got a call about 4 oclock to say that my vehicle is ready to be picked up I asked if everything was done the response was yes it was, here is the total and when will you be in to pick it up. When I arrived the service advisor proceeded to show me series of diagrams and photographs of a suspected problem for the engine light which would cost another $600 and require another day is booking. She went on to say that after this repair the problem may not be solved but it would be the next step in making that ultimate repair. The service advisors previous declaration that the repair was finished and the car was ready to be picked up was not accurate. This felt disingenuous and her explanation that the repair might not still be complete left me with no confidence. Im taking my vehicle back to the dealer for a second opinion.

At first, they kept telling me that it would be a whole bunch of problems or it may be this problem or that but it turned out that I had a fairly small problem that was a pretty easy fix. The car is running great now and I am happy that it didn't turn out to be a major fix! They did repair my car in the time frame stated and overall I was pretty pleased with the outcome!

So my experience was good and bad, they had trouble diagnosing my German car to determine what was wrong. Eventually taking four days to figure out there was an O2 sensor that was causing problems. Cost me over $800 to replace a simple O2 sensor after all the testing they recommended. I am upset that they seem to have been a regular stereotypical mechanic shop in this instance. I have been too them before and they were quite good but every time I bring my car in I lose it for about a week. The service staff are otherwise great Guy Swain was helpful and courteous, was fair with the bill, only made me pay for what I had agreed too. And tried to remain in contact with me regarding what was happening. I am currently on the fence with them. Not sure if I will keep going back or will try an new place.

I needed the driver's side mirror fixed on my ML350. I originally went to the Mercedes dealership, and they quoted me $510 for parts and labor, which I thought was absurd. German car specialists quoted me $120 for the part, and they didn't even charge me labor, even though it took them about 15 minutes to fix. I dealt with Dennis, who was very professional, friendly, and honest. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends!

I took the VW Touareg here because I wanted a second opinion on a very pricey repair quote I had received from the dealer. Dennis and the team at German Car Specialist confirmed the original diagnosing, but explained the parts that failed inside the intake manifold could actually be replaced individually - rather than the entire intake being replaced as I was previously told. This was a significant savings from the dealer quote and a no-brainer for me to repair this way. Their estimate was to-the-penny, and their warranty was even better than the dealer offered. After inspection, turns out that my ML350 did not need those sensors as it was built in the car itself. They modified the quote accordingly. They informed me exactly what was done and for that reason, they earned my trust (I am very skeptic of everybody if you are wondering). I called and made and appointment to fix a few issues with my 09 smart car. The service advisor was prompt and efficient and had my car book in couple of days later at 0730hrs. The service advisor called me a few hours later to let me know the found other damage that needed to be fixed and the cost. I gave the go ahead on the needed repairs and deferred the not safety repairs. The next day the car was ready and when I picked it up the bill was less than the estimate and they even washed the car inside and out. I will be back when I need service and I will not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good service at reasonable prices.

This is my first time using German Car Specialist to service my car. I am very happy with their honesty and care for the client. Alex make an effort to research the alternative solutions to fix my Audi Instrument Cluster. He mange to find a company in the East Coast of Canada that license to repair the instrument. It saves me half of the price to replace a new as I recommended by other two dealership. The repair also comes with 1 year warranty that give me some assurance. It has been a month, and has been working well. The only suggestion I have is to add pick up shuttle service. It has shuttle service to drop off client before 8.30am. It will be nice to have the shuttle to pick up from downtown perhaps after office hour like 4.00pm. For sure I will continue to use the service. I have also recommended to friends. A little disorganized when it comes to inspections, would assume that the check sheet would be provided to the customer without them having to come back to the shop to request it, especially when items like fault codes found and burned out marker lights are mentioned in the check sheet but not the invoice provided. Were a few errors in my report such as the wrong lens being cracked, not a big concern for myself, but as the inspection was for a sale to a client, accuracy is important as it puts into question the validity/accuracy of the entire inspection.

I had my car into the German Car Specialists to repair a high pressure oil leak that gave them a bit of an issue. I picked up my car from the shop and proceeded to drive it home only for the car to lose all gas pressure 10 minutes later. I called and they were great. First thing they asked was if I was ok and safe. If I could drive it back please do so but if needed they would send me a tow truck. I was able to drive the car back to German Car Specialists. A few days later the car was ready to be picked up. They figured the problem was a module that they replaced with a spare used part they had on hand and would order a new one for me. Terry the mechanic test drove the car to ensure it was working properly. Unfortunately the same thing happened again. As it turns out the part they replaced for the high pressure oil leak had one faulty washer out of the many the size of your pinky fingernail. The car was fixed and it runs perfectly now. Now after telling this story I think it is equally important to tell you that this is one of those things that just happens. This is not something anyone could have foreseen or controlled. Alex and the rest of the front desk crew were absolutely amazing. Yes my car was in the shop for much longer that any of us could have anticipated but there are ways to deal with this and ways not to. I know Terry the mechanics was working very hard to find the problem and to get my car back to me, I know everyone felt horrible that this kept happening but you know the old saying "thing happen" well it is how you deal with the problem that makes it a positive or negative experience. Yes it was an inconvenience; no I was not happy about the situation and yes it was frustrating but being angry or upset at the staff of German Car Specialists was not going to get me anywhere. My positive attitude provided us both with a positive experience. The shop has been absolutely amazing to me and has even snuck me in to have simple a repair completed. I only wish more people would realize that we are all only human and can make mistakes. We wish things like this wouldnt happen to us but they do and it is the way we handle them that brings out the person we truly are. Thanks for everything German Car Specialists. I will continue to use this shop for my little SMART car.

Just took my 2002 Audi TT in for a water pump, timing belt and valve cover gaskets. Guy was great, gave me a list of what was wrong, what could wait and what was recommended. Their price was what was quoted with assurances that if it was going to be more that it wouldn't be a surprise, they would let me know. I did get a bit impatient, but it was Easter weekend and I was trying to find out if it would be done on the Thursday. When they diagnose your car they do so very thoroughly and will present to you every potential issue and lean on you a bit to have it fixed. My car was having problems and so I took it into these guys and they took good care of it. The bottom front guard has dropped down. I guess the plastic grommets (plastic screws) that hold this in place must be worn out and came out. I think German Car Specialist is totally incompetent. I brought my car--an Audi A6--to them for some brakes, and they told me it would be ready the next day. I went the next day and they didn't do anything. Instead, they brought out a different car--an Audi A4 that's a different color--and insisted that it was my car. They wouldn't say what work they actually did on my car, and I don't know what happened. It's a very expensive vehicle. They apologized for the error, and then I asked to have my car by noon the next day. They said definitely, so I came in and it wasn't done--and they hadn't even started on it. I feel there is mismanagement across the board at all levels. I won't go back.

Took my Z3 in for an inspection required to transfer from another province. At the same time, I requested them to investigate why my soft top wasn't opening and closing. I received a call during the day saying it would take additional time to investigate the soft top problem totaling. The total cost of this was over $300, and they came to the same conclusion as I did after I Googled the problem. Then to find out that they charged $60 to change a tail-light bulb as part of the inspection process. And now I have waited over 2 months for them to get the part in to fix the soft top issue. Called them once and the person I spoke to indicated she would advise the person responsible for my account - no one ever got back to me.

It fractured in three places. Every other mechanic I talked (including BMW) to suggest failure due to rapid launch. GCS service mechanic denies his liability. I had to eat the $4384.97 . I took my rare B10 Alpina to get a new hose replaced because of the small leak coming from the radiator side, the "repair" was done timely but on my way home the water pump they put in came loose and began to spew coolant on components, luckily the shop offered to tow my car back to the shop after I pulled over to the side of the road noticing steam was coming out of my car, and now I have to wait 3 days from my original appointment to get my car back because the car was obviously not in running condition when they gave it back to me, the only redeeming factor would be kind lady at the front desk who responded to my call back quickly so I could return my car back to the shop

Recently took my SLK in to have an alignment issue looked at after hitting a large rock at 70km/h. Turns out there was more damage underneath than just allignment.... I've had my vehicle there before for service and really liked the staff and service. Jay-Lynn was very prompt and thorough. Handled communications with my insurance company and even a nearby autobody shop. At no time was I ever unaware of what was going on or the status of my vehicle. Her utilization of email updates was very valuable, as I spend most my days in meetings and find it difficult to take calls. The automative quality is also great and reasonablely priced. We took our Volvo xc70 here for routine servicing and overall inspection. Staff was friendly and called to confirm further work needing to be done. Only disappointment was the shuttle service, as we were unaware that the shuttle goes downtown first before dropping anyone else off, and had to call a friend to drive us home at the last minute. It would have been nice to know ahead of time, or even to run a North and South shuttle service. Other than that, we are happy with the service we received. It was nice to pick up a clean car at the end of the day.

This was my first apointment with Two Square Auto and already I feel that I can trust the Service Technician and Dennis. A seasonal inspection was done on my vehicle along with an oil change. The Technician was thorough and pointed out a couple of things that may become a problem in the future, but not an issue at this time. Took our Touareg in for new shoes (winter tires) and these guys not only changed out my old tires and disposed of them per my request but they also found time to wash the T-reg and to polish its new shoes without even me asking them to do it. The VW dealership I had been going to has not once washed my car even though they ask and I give them the go ahead to do it. I get the same excuse - sorry but we were just too busy!! Repairing Audi cars off warrantee is never a good financial experience because it inevitably becomes a high cost. However it also is only possible with specialist knowledge and experience, which this group clearly has and completes work with great service and high competence, while continuing to learn by experiences. Once a repair is properly completed it is worth the wait time, and the work put in if you are an Audi owner and enthusiast, although with the high costs any cost saving measures need to be a part of the equation. Based on the last 3.5 years of maintaining and repairing two Audi cars off warrantee at Two Square (German Car Specialists) we have now established a very good continued customer / business relationship. They are intent on doing the right work, have the appropriate technical focus (because of specialist knowledge), consider equipment safety, and support reasonable plans for longer term ownership and managing high costs (ie. advice for decisions with sensible work deferral and advice on timing). They are already improving with lower repair costs (down side of owning an Audi off warrantee). Although we will continue as older Audi car drivers and good customers it would be great if they could provide advice on the sourcing of 2-3 year old German cars and SUV's in the Calgary area or the same 2-3 year old cars from auctions etc., or even cars they have worked on or inspected, and which models and vintages were more reliable.

I was very disappointed in the shuttle service though. They drove me to work but then told me they could not pick me up as it was a one way shuttle only. I was stranded and that made no sense. How is someone supposed to get their car after then? So I ended up absorbing a $55 cab that I was not prepared for. That put a little dark cloud on my otherwise great experience.

Each time I have been to German Car specialists they have exceeded my expectations. First time they washed my car after a simple oil change, which was unexpected and appreciated. The next time they refused to take my money to fill a chip in the windshield as it was simply on the surface and would not spread (they were right). When I picked up my vehicle after the latest oil change and brake fluid flush the owner of the shop took half an hour out of the middle of his day to sit down with me and listen to my worries about the turbos on my BMW and the scary stories I read on the web. that made me feel much better and showed me how well they know they know these vehicles. I wish to extend a big thank you to Dennis Kaltenbruner, the owner of German Car Specialist, and his very competent Team of Mechanics and Staff. I had obtained a distressed 1999 Porsche Boxster with a blown engine and an optional 3.4 Ltr engine from a Porsche 911. Both Motors required rebuilding, and if we used the 911 motor a conversion would have been required to install the motor in the Boxster. The Boxster was a USA based car so it also required an Out Of Country inspection as well as an Out Of Province inspection. Dennis and his Team at German Car Specialist, took on the project of restoring this vehicle back to a reliable, road worthy, safe, and Alberta Canada registered car. They began with a general assessment of Both Motors, and the vehicle itself and all the major systems in the car. They found both engine options were in need of complete rebuilds, and that the cars basic electronic infrastructure was intact and operational. Dennis then produced 2 options for me to choose from, to proceed with the project with approximate pricing for each option. I chose to have the cars existing engine completely rebuilt and to scrap the conversion option, since we could not be as exact on the price due to unknowns doing a conversion. As they proceeded with the rebuild and general reconditioning of the cars systems, Dennis kept me advised of the progress and any obstacles and extra service requirements as they presented themselves. The communication throughout the project was top-notch. At the end of the project the pricing was close to plan, my Boxster passed all inspections, and all systems had been checked, serviced and were operational. I have had the Car 3 weeks now and love it. Last weekend I took it through the mountains out to BC. The car ran perfect and I am very happy with it. I only have great things to say about my experience with German Car Specialist and their team of staff. Right from the front counter to the shop I received nothing but the finest service level one could hope for. In this day and age service like this is almost impossible to find.
